I became interested in climbing way back in 1973 and I have been climbing and mountaineering since 1977. I was lucky enough to have climbing as a games option at school. I learned to climb on the sandstone outcrops of Helsby, Frodsham and Pex Hill near Ellesmere Port. We had regular trips to North Wales and the Lake District. My first real 'expediton' was to Denali / Mt.McKinley in Alaska.
